Ag and Eats

Washington County is steeped with a rich agricultural heritage. Many of our traditions today are rooted in seasonal foods and recipes that our great grandparents handed down to the next generation. Sharing recipes is what keeps our agricultural heritage alive and strong. Food in our community makes us look for only the sweetest peaches or the freshest corn or the lard that makes the perfect pie crust. It is what drives us to local butcherings and use only the best ground meat. Only local honey can be used to sweeten a biscuit and fresh local brown eggs must be used to make the perfect omelet.

Do you have a great recipe that uses local fresh agricultural products?

Share it with your neighbors. Click on "Contact Us/Directions" and send Leslie your recipe.
