Hagerstown, Maryland — The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Maryland (BCC) recently adopted a broadened “pad-ready” stimulus program as proposed by the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission (EDC).

Tox Path Specialists, LLC will graduating from the Technical Innovation Center (TIC) at Hagerstown Community College in early 2012.
They first began operations at the TIC in May 2008 and have created 10 jobs in Washington County. On his experience in the incubator, Mark Butt, president said "The TIC in general and the support of the staff could not have worked out better for us. Our experience t the TIC has proves that a biotech firm can grow quickly through the HCC's facility. I do not know a better-run business incubator in the state of Maryland."
Hagerstown, Maryland — Demolitions, renovations and expansions of existing buildings will qualify for county perks under a broadened “pad-ready” stimulus program approved Tuesday by the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
The program was originally designed to encourage builders to bring undeveloped land to a ready-to-build state, but the commissioners decided that the same benefits should apply to sites with existing buildings in need of redevelopment.

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 18, 2011) – Bright Eyes Child Care opened a new 8,900 square foot facility on August 29, 2011 at 1145 Omega Court in Hagerstown creating ten new jobs.
The large child care facility was the first business to open in the Light Business Park off of Eastern Boulevard which is a 27 acre commercial property that has been sub-divided into 18 individual lots. The facility has 13 lots open for sale or lease.
