Hagerstown, Md. (June 10, 2014) – Washington County will be represented on two upcoming state panels. Dr. Arnie Schuster of DocuTrac will be presenting at the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) 2014 Summer Conference; and Rebecca Hogamier, Director of Behavior Health Services for Washington County Health Department, will be presenting at the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Symposium.
The MEDA Conference focus is on Maryland’s growing health technology industry and the potential to improve the delivery of care. Dr. Schuster will be on a panel discussing electronic medical records and how software is changing health technology and providing new opportunities for business development. The MEDA Conference will be held June 12, 2014 at the University of Maryland’s Riggs Alumni Center, College Park, Md.
The MACo Symposium will focus on both prescription and non-prescription drug substance abuse. Hogamier will be on a panel discussing advances in prevention and treatment of substance abuse and the importance of access to treatment and the continuum of care. The MACo Symposium will be held June 12, 2014 at Cecil College, North East, Md.
