Hagerstown, MD (December 6, 2011) – The Washington County Business Awards Committee is proud to announce the finalists for their Thirteenth Annual “Academy Awards” style-event which will be held on Wednesday, February 29th at the Hager Hall Grand Ballroom in Hagerstown, Maryland.
This event is co-hosted by the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission and is one of the most anticipated events of the season!
The black-tie optional event begins with a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m. followed by a banquet dinner at 6:15 p.m. WHAG’s Pieter Bickford will again emcee the program. Comedian David Ferrell will entertain the audience prior to the awards portion of the evening, and some additional surprises will be thrown in throughout the evening.

At Your Service…Awarded to a Washington County retail or service business for undertaking actions that generates customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Leading Edge Award…Awarded to a Washington County business that leverages technology to advance their organization. This may be an innovative use of an existing technology, a new invention offered for sale, or creating or developing a significant advancement that serves as an inspiration for future progress.

Non-Profit Impact Award…Recognizes and honors a 501c3 organization that improves the lives of those it serves. The recipient receives an unrestricted grant of $1,000, made possible by the Community Foundation of Washington County, MD. Eligible companies must be recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 organization and staff an office in Washington County.
