(Hagerstown, Md.)— The Continuing Education and Community Services Division at Hagerstown Community College is once again partnering with the Hagerstown chapter of SCORE to offer a new small business seminar series, “Simple Steps for Growing Your Business.”
Specially designed to assist small business owners and managers, the new seminar series will expand on concepts taught in SCORE’s original “How to Really Start Your Own Business” seminar series. Course topics include practical strategies for planning and organizing your operation, marketing, sales management, and general management. Free mentoring sessions are also available during and after the seminar series.
“At the end of the seminar, attendees will have developed solid strategies to apply in their own individual businesses,” says SCORE chapter chair Bob Jones. “This blended learning model brings workshops, learning exercises, and mentoring to participants in a one-stop training program that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses in thischallenging economic climate.”
“Simple Steps for Growing Your Business” will be offered on Thursdays, from 5 to 8 p.m. beginning Feb. 2 and ending Feb. 16. All classes will be held in the Technical Innovation Center on HCC’s main campus. Cost is $81. For more information or to register, call 240-500-2236, or go to www.hagerstowncc.edu/coned.
